Objective

Movement sequences from the world of sports motivate students to dance.

Context

There are numerous overlaps between the worlds of contemporary dance and athletics, from the role of team spirit and stamina to physical control and concentration all the way to the pure pleasure to be had in performing dynamic movement sequences. For instance, many students find movement sequences from different kinds of ball sports easy to execute and these can be connected in a dance sequence.
